50cm of fresh snow in Whistler - no screenprint today
Well today was of those special days I will remember for years to come.
The forecast was for a big snowfall, so Mat and I set the alarm for 6.00am Saturday morning.
With our skis as placeholders in the queue at Blackcomb lifts at 6:20, we slipped off for a big breakfast. The lifts were slow to start, and it got a bit wet low down, but what a day skiing. 60cm of fresh powder.
Did we get first tracks? Well even with our early start, we weren't the first. But there is plenty of new ground for everyone.
